Les mystérieux explorateurs « du » Flotation Toy Warning vaguent l’air anxieux, l’allure crispée, comme figée. L’humeur est au retour. Le public le pressentait et s’est massé ce dimanche soir au Café de la Danse, avec une prévenance sans pareil.

Les premières notes de Popstars Researching Oblivion rassurent, scelle les retrouvailles longtemps espérées. On lit les sourires sur le visage des musiciens....

Eine der skurrilsten Platten in diesem Jahr kommt von der neuseeländischen Band Connan Mockasin, die seit 2006 unter dem Namen Connan & the Mockasins und Songs wie Uuu It's Teasy und Sneaky Sneaky Dogfriend rumpligen Indie-Blues spielten:

Das klang zwar niedlich, blieb auf weiten Strecken aber auch unspektakulär... Mit dem neuen Album Please Turn Me Into The Snat vollzieht die Truppe um Connan Hosford - in einflussreicher Kollaboration mit dem erfolgreichen Neuseeländer Popkünstler Lawrence Arabia (aka James Milne) - einen musikalischen Wandel, der offenbar auch die Namensänderung in Connan Mockasin rechtfertigte. Ja, Michael Cragg schreibt in seiner Rezension sogar, das Album klinge "nothing like anything else about at the moment".*
