Acabo de escutar o novo álbum da cantora britânica Ellie Goulding, entitulado Halcyon. Não irei me prender a revisar casa faixa do álbum, mas posso dizer que fui completamente surpreendido. Desde o anúncio de seu lançamento, venho o negligenciando. Não me entenda mal, gosto muito da cantora desde que escutei avidamente o álbum Bright Lights, mas tinha um pressentimento de que Halcyon não ia funcionar de uma boa forma. Fico extremamente feliz em ter dado uma chance para ele.

Há um crescimento absurdo neste novo trabalho de Ellie Goulding. Diferentemente do que eu esperava, Goulding mostra toda a sua maturidade em faixas como "Don't Say a Word", "Anything Could Happen", "Halcyon" (faixa que dá nome ao álbum), "Explosions" e "Dead in the Water". Nestes exemplos, fica claro como até mesmo o seu tom muda em alguns pontos das faixas, dando um ar sombrio e reflexivo.

Enfim, "Halcyon" nos mostra uma versão incrivelmente melhorada e mais madura de Ellie Goulding…
