I completely agree with all praise posted here, and particularly Cikkle's post. These guys make some of the best and most complex structured industrial noise. It's been great to witness the sound evolve since the first Art Konkret LP was released.
I also find their live performances to be wonderfully executed, and do not care so much for the costumes and such. Still, better to have it however they wish to display it than not have it at all.
It seems like at least 50% of their songs don't register here with the album listed. I went and attempted to correct that, but couldn't find a link or information that would permit me to, or tell me how. Anybody know?
They're pretty shitty at promoting themselves, their distribution is awful, and as intricate and pleasant as their custom-packaged releases are they tend to have really limited runs. They also seem not to associate with any better-known acts I'm aware of. Clean mastering aside, their music is also still pretty 'difficult' by most standards; honestly, I usally find a lot of balls-out harsh noise to be easier to digest than any of the Einleitungszeit albums I own, probably on account of the wide range of the aforementioned mastering, as well as the semi-structured songs that usually demand more attentive listening. They won't be popular anytime soon.
Yeah, I'm not that keen on the whole "duct-taping computer parts to your face" aspect but at least they aim to make some kind of interesting performance art out of it. I'd like to see one of their shows.
