Charlie isn't the best vocalist by a long shot but Brain Maillard is ridiculously good and this band should be heard just for his killer riffs. On a side note this is probably my least favorite Dominici song. My favorite would have to be... School of Pain.

CD certainly laid an excellent starting foundation vocally for DT. And yes... it would have been cool to hear today's DT music with CD vocals. Much as I like JL voice, I still wonder... but I guess that's all we can do.

Love DT (mostly) with both CD and KJL. Seems the sound was as different as, say, VH with DLR or SH fronting. Glad to see Charlie continuing good work. Never thought James quite did "Fortune in Lies" justice, live. Peace.

Brian Maillard is great guitarist. The drumming is also spectacular on this cd. Helps when your guitar players is his brother!

Dominici's voice is great, it's just that it never developed into that power metal type voice that sounds perfect with Dream Theater, that's why he was only around for 1 album, a DT album I didn't really like, that and FII. Now, his voice has matured and he sounds kickass. Oh well, shit happens. WOOT!

Not really sure why this is scrobbled so little. Ought to appeal to any Dream Theater fans, or just prog metal listeners in general.
