    well, the similar artists are not chosen by Last.fm. It's about how many listeneres the artists have in commom. Porbably people that listen do Shostakovich also listen to Stravisnky, and this is why they are 'similar'. It's fucked up, bu that's how it works;

    Yeah! what StuartHaden1 said!! You tell'em Stu. I had to delete Debussy cause of the lack of the La Mer or Nocturnes. You can take "the girl with the flaxen hair" and stick it up your "clare de lune"

    could this be the most moving - not necessarily the most complex - orchestra piece ever composed? it kills me every single time. if you know any contenders, please share!

    How on earth are Messian, Schonberg, Sibelius. Brahms, Schnittke and Bartok similar to Shostakovich? !!!! Get a grip last.fm or preferably some ears and feeling! The only reason I am allowing Prokofiev and Stravinsky is because they were Russian. Again no mention of the orchestra or conductor. No surprise. When last.fm can be bothered to credit performers and composers I might buy something.

    A melancholy passage through the misty woods. Grey Owl knew about such places. He said "Through the avenue of trees I see a light. I am trying so hard to get there."
