With guest appearances and collaborations by such artists as Mark Thibideau, Daniel Myer (Haujobb / Architect), Keef Baker, Broken Fabiola, Famine, Lucidstatic, Marching Dynamics, and featuring the heavenly vocals of Victoria Lloyd (Claire Voyant / HMB), all packaged in a unique design by Antimatter, 'X Was Never Like This...' promises to be fond experience indeed.

    Access To Arasaka: Oppidan [TA031]

The long-awaited and highly-anticipated debut CD from New York's amazing young new talent Access To Arasaka has finally arrived. With a steady momentum of buzz from fans and critics over the past year, remix collaborations with Zentriert ins Antlitz, Aphorism, and Totakeke, and more-than-well-received compilation appearances for the Hymen Records and Tympanik Audio labels, Access To Arasaka now offers the true scope of his capabilities with his innovative new album 'Oppidan'.

A futuristic journey of a cerebral nature, demonstrating a virtual equinox of expert beatwork and densely-layered atmospheric explorations, 'Oppidan' transcends complexity and innovation in electronic music and seems to arrive at the very edge of its own inner space. Dark and cinematic and fascinating to no end, 'Oppidan' is truly full of life and genuine mystic, opening the imagination of the listener into epic new dimensions at the hands of a true master of modern electronic composition.

    Disharmony: Evolution [TA029]

Under-rated, yet revered with undying admiration by the already initiated, this Slovakian duo has (un)quietly scorched the underground Electro-Industrial scene for many years, releasing several continuously morphing collections of work amongst the awe of fans and music critics alike.

With a plethora of remixing and album credits to their name including Flint Glass, Totakeke, Mnemonic, Stendeck, Fractional, Anhedonia, Zentriert ins Antlitz, and countless others, Disharmony manage to speak volumes once again with their signature brand of down-tempo, yet hard-hitting electronica-tinged dark electro works, paying never mind to any looming trends, but instead constantly evolving beyond the typical genre clones and earn their right to the throne amongst a horde of imitators.

  • [CD] CLAIRE VOYANT - Lustre Review [DE]

Immerzu.

  • A Journal Entry in Two Parts - Part the First - Wishlist

    14. Jul. 2009, 15:03 von sirensongs

Well, I suppose enough time has passed that I can now write a new journal entry compiling a list of what upcoming releases I am excited about for the second half of 2009. It's an impressive list, making 2009 a very strong musical year for me!

Ataraxia - TBA - Little is known to me about this album save that it will be eventually released, and that it will be new material as opposed to another best-of compilation or re-release of one of their older albums.

Claire Voyant - Lustre - Seven years in the making, so I am very curious about how much the songwriting will have changed.

Dark Sanctuary - TBA - The release date and title are unknown to me, but what I do know is that this album will be a collaboration with artist Victoria Frances and that the music will most likely be depressing and stupendous, as per usual.

Diablo Swing Orchestra - Sing-Along Songs For The Damned And Delirious - Let's see how crazy they can make it this time!

Dunkelschön - Katharsis - Can't get enough of that pagan folk!

Rebsie Fairholm - Seven Star Queen - This is the second release of old English folk inspired music with a definite psychedelic edge.

Les Fragments de la Nuit - Demain c'était Hier - Beautiful, soundtrack like music for my more introspective moments in life.

H.E.R.R. (HERR) - 12 Caesars - Ah, I love the pomp and bombast of this group, and the only thing that bothers me sometimes are the prominence of the spoken word vocals. I truly believe that they should release instrumental versions of all their albums, giving the glorious orchestration the attention it deserves. I'd be the first in line to buy them. However, all that aside, I still think this will be a glorious release.

Hexperos - The Veil of Queen Mab - They are one of the best current neo-classical acts out there, and I can't wait to hear their sophomore release!

Omnia - World of Omnia - More pagan folk, and their music never fails to stir up my blood. A highly anticipated release!

Ram-Zet - Neutralized - After a few years of silence, I was beginning to fear that Ram-Zet was no more. I was delighted to hear that they had signed to Asendance records, and will be releasing their fourth album this autumn. It will be filled with their trademark mix of chaos and beauty I am sure!

VocaMe - Kassia - This will be the first release by this all female vocal medieval ensemble featuring current and former members of Qntal, Helium Vola, Estampie, Unto Ashes, Odalisque in Ashes and Faun. This is one of my most anticipated releases of the year!

Whyzdom - From The Brink Of Infinity - I have such high expectations for this band from the little I have heard. I have a secret wish (not so secret anymore), that they will become a substitute for older Tristania for me. Up until now, that role had been filled by Penumbra for me, but since I don't know when, or if ever, the next Penumbra album will be released, I've got my sights set on Whyzdom.

That's all on my list for now, but I am sure it will be edited once or twice over the coming month...

    26. Jun. 2009, 11:12 von nrgch

1.How did you get into no.29?
    Pain

    2. What's the first song you ever heard by no.22?
    Tarja
I Walk Alone"

    3. Whats your favorite lyric by no.33?
    Darzamat

    4. How did you get into no.49?
    Lesiëm

    5. How many albums by no.13 do you own?
    Ayria
Debris, Flicker и Hearts For Bullets.

    6. What is your favorite song by no.50?
    After Forever и Diorama
Самому сложно сказать, Ласт говорит, что "Silence From Afar" у After Forever, что же, поверим. У Diorama однозначно "Masquerades and Faces"

    7. Is there a song by no.39 that makes you sad?
    Orbital и Tarja Turunen
к. Nightwish.

    8. What is your favorite song by no.15?
    Collide
"The Lunatics Have Taken Over The Asylum"

    9. What is your favorite song by no.5?
    Amethystium

    10. Is there a song by no.6 that makes you happy?
    Indica

    11. What is the worst song by no.40?
    Leigh Nash

    12. What is your favorite song by no.10?
    Artrosis

    13. What is a good memory you have involving no.30?
    Closterkeller

    15. Is there a song by no.19 that makes you happy?

    16. Is there a song by no.25 that makes you sad?
    Jonson

    17. What is the first song you ever heard by 23?

    Zombie Girl
Creature Of The Night"

    19. Who is a favorite member of no.1?

    27. What is your favorite album by no.3?
