if you live up north enough, you know the change in seasons can be pretty brutal, especially when summer starts kicking in. you go from layers one week to flipflops the next. your body has a lot of trouble adjusting to those first few days, so you kind of just sit there, your skin glued to the chair, not wanting to move, do anything. but slowly, your friends start dragging you out the door. hitting the beach and the basketball courts. taking that sun head on. watching the girls pass by in barely legal bikinis. making you double take and missing your shots. hanging out until your bare back and shoulders are burned a deep red. flossin' out on porches with your best friends. pool parties and beer. car rides with the windows all rolled down. chipwagon friesd at 3am.
