Ms. Cindy is an amazingly talented, and generous musician. I am an aspiring dobro player, so am reluctant to note any criticism. But as music is so much about feelings -- well, the dobro/resonator guitar is so very expressive in the acoustic mode I am not enthusiastic about electrification. Call me old fashioned (I don't mind) but I don't go for electrified banjos, or sitars for that matter. I think that treatment violates the true nature and purpose of those instruments. Anyway, it's terrific that there IS such a variety of music available via the web, especially sites like "last.fm" How an individual develops and grows affinities for certain kinds of music is fascinating. Siblings raised in the same household develop very different musical likes and dislikes. Might have something to do with past life experiences mixed with the experiential associations - happy times as a toddler, traumatic events, first love, etc. Anybody have suggestions for books that deal with this subject?
