On 8 February 2010, EMI will release Massive Attack's new album, Heligoland.

...I can't believe this is only their fifth studio album. o_O

Guests on the release include such Damon Albarn (of Blur, natch), Hope Sandoval (of Mazzy Star fame), Martina Topley-Bird, Guy Garvey and Tunde Adebimpe. Portishead's Adrian Utley provides the guitar for the track "Saturday comes Slow."

Концерт британской группы Blur в рамках фестиваля Гластонбери летом этого года стало лучшим хэдлайнерским сетом по итогам церемонии награждения UK Festival Awards, состоявшейся 19 ноября в Лондоне. Специальной награды удостоился и фронтмен Blur Дэймон Албарн – его назвали лучшим фестивальным "заводилой".

Выступление Blur состоялось в ходе реюнион-тура группы, вернувшейся на сцену после пятилетнего отсутствия. Выступление на Гластонбери стало первым появлением команды на фестивале с 1998-го года.

Кстати, и сам Гластонбери не остался без награды UK Festival Awards – нынешний "выпуск" был признан лучшим фестивальным саммитом лета-2009.

Премиями UK Festival Awards ежегодно отмечаются лучшие фестивали, концертные площадки, промоутеры и активисты фестивального движения. В этом году в числе лауреатов премии оказались Kings Of Leon (авторы "Гимн лета"), Florence and the Machine ("Фестивальный прорыв года"), Beach Break Live ("Лучший фестиваль малых размеров") и T in the Park – удостоившийся награды за лучшие туалеты (немаловажная, знаете ли, деталь!).
