BLACK PYRAMID is a three-piece Doom Metal-Band from Northampton (Massachusetts, USA) that was formed in 2007.
Their style can also be described as Psychedelic Stoner/Doom because of their various influences like SLEEP, ELECTRIC WIZARD and tons of traditional Heavy Metal.
In 2011 they are touring Europe as a support act for BLOOD FARMERS.

New album, so far is actually pretty good. I always found their previous work lacked some "drive", even in their atmospheric pieces. Not sure about the vocalist's way of singing yet, but it's not bad at all. I wonder how different the mastered version will sound, because so far it sounds pretty good to me.

I'm really surprised someone would say that this band seemed "creatively spent" with BP II. Upon hearing it I actually thought it was very entertaining, well done, and a good departure from the rehashed Sabbath riffing that every band in this genre seems to do. In my opinion they have only gotten better since their first album. They continually refined their sound and found it on this record. Shame about the guitarist leaving, but after hearing the new guitarist's band and his vocals I'm pretty fucking pumped about their future.

the album that is on the internet that leaked is unmastered, and also has fake artwork. just to let you guys know.. also, the new vocalist has a killer voice and i dig his riffs as well, check out hackman on myspace if you wana hear some of his stuff. to me, the vocals sound kind of like the old singer but with more balls. it'll be interesting to hear his take on already existing material, and i think they're going to get better from here.. as far as the new album, i have to say i really enjoy it. sons of chaos has some of the best riffs i've heard in a long time. glad these guys are back
