from the album 23
It goes: "quietly, I drop my weight into your sea"
Blonde Redhead was quite a big surprise for me. People had reccommended this band to me before, in the likes of "If you like Radiohead, you gotta like this one", and as it usually happens when they base their reccommendations solely on Radiohead, I just didn't pay attention.
But then I saw a video for 23, the song, and realized this was more than another band compared to a bigger one just to give them some credibility. Even though the album was released in 2007, I didn't listen to it completely until 2008. That year I didn't listen to many other albums that were as good as this.
Silently, specially got me. It has some 60s kind of motown vibe to it, along with those lyrics of disillution and embracement at the same time and Kazu's sweet voice promising she knows exactly how I feel. It was just too much to not fall in love with it.
