I just love the build in the start of this composition! Epic cue.

Okay we're gonna have to try that again, everything else about the movie was near-perfect but Voldy's death by dandruff pulled me out of it so much going "he's not going to just dematerialize is he? PLEASE don't make him dematerialize" that I missed out on the use of the music entirely ;(

Lily's theme at the end in the movie is going to be like *brain melt* I suspect

And I'm glad that this is not a raging over-the-top epic track, cuz, you know, if Voldemort had to choose he would want to go out in awesome style, but instead he gets "Tom Riddle hit the floor with a mundane finality, his body feeble and shrunken, the white hands empty, the snakelike face vacant and unknowing." I think this music fits that well.

I get the feeling that a memory of some other "the raging whirlpool of all the evil you've done is crashing down upon you now" cue is being evoked here, but I don't know what I might be thinking of. Any way, I love the way he did this. Hope to also love the way the movie does the scene, but we'll see. :D
