에일리 (Ailee) (b. Amy Lee / Lee Ye Jin on May 30, 1989 in New Jersey) is a Korean-American singer currently signed to YMC Entertainment. Prior to her debut in 2012, she was personally trained by famous Korean R&B singer-songwriter, Wheesung (휘성). Ailee is known for her powerful vocals and has received high praise for her performances by the public and music industry. Her debut single, Heaven, charted at #3 on GaOn, Korea’s official chart, and won „Song of the Month“ for February 2012 at the Cyworld Digital Music Awards.

Before her debut, Ailee had a YouTube channel („aileemusic“) and previously participated and won Best Vocals at NY Kollaboration 2006. She has collaborated with artists such as johnny phlo, Decipher, Brian Joo and Jay Park. As a trainee under YMC Entertainment, she was featured in MBC’s „Singer and Trainee“ where she performed „My Boo“ with Wheesung and Halo on her own. Her performances were critically acclaimed by judges and audience alike. She was featured in Wheesung’s „They Are Coming“ as a rapper in October 2011.

In January 2012, Ailee was cast in KBS’s „Dream High 2“ in a supporting role as a member of a girl group, HerShe. The drama finished its run in March 2012. She also contributed a track to the soundtrack of the drama with a collaboration song with SISTAR’s Hyorin and T-ARA’s Jiyeon called „Super Star“. Super Star was a top ten hit on GaOn, Korea’s official chart, where it peaked at #9.
