ahahah hatters gonna hate, but still ranka is popular as hell. Look at Gumipoid, everyone loves her because she's so similar to Ranka. Haters gonna hate, but they ain't gonna be able to do a thing except whine.
replying to old post lol "Then there's the choice for ランカ・リー over at musicbrainz (ARGH) instead of the official ランカ・リー＝中島愛"
because musicbrainz is full of elitists who gather together and only accept what they as a group LIKE and not what is official.
This is the correct tag according the the single "星間飛行". On the Macross F albums it has "ランカ・リー＝中島 愛" Both these tags are correct, while "中島愛" and "ランカ・リー" are completely WRONG and should not be used for her Macross F works.
So many choices, and only one scrobble... I'm trying to de-romanize my Japanese artist/title/album names, and it's kinda annoying when it comes to deciding how to rename artists with multiple names. Do I choose 中島愛, ランカ・リー or this one? I decided to go with the CD in the end and chose this tag :/
Then there's the choice for ランカ・リー over at musicbrainz (ARGH) instead of the official ランカ・リー＝中島愛, some people play it with the ランカ・リー=中島愛 (the small =), some folks use romanizations Ranka Lee = Nakajima Megumi.. or just Ranka Lee, Megumi Nakajima, Nakajima Megumi, etc etc etc. IMO it should really be ランカ・リー＝中島愛 when she's singing as Ranka.
Yeah, we really need the fingerprinter and the merging thing here.
Why so few plays :( I guess there's tons of confusion in the tagging... Like which equal sign to use, whether to put a blank after "中島" (and which space character?), or whether to scrobble as "中島愛" (with or without a space). I'm just following the CD insert somewhat although I'm really tempted to go with 中島愛 in case I listen to further singles by her...
