Hey
Is anyone else suffering from the flu at the moment? I'm struggling through my second bout in as many months and it's getting annoying now. Obviously need to up my Vitamin C intake. If anyone knows any ultra-quick cures, please let me know!
Just a few bits of news you might be interested in?

01: The New 1920 single out today and on tour
-----------------------------------------------------

The first of in our new Meet & Greet singles series is out today. It's called 'Torpedo Libido', it's by a band called The New 1920, it's received airplay from Radio One, 6 Music and is on the Xfm evening playlist. If you're into Saves The Day-esque punk rock fun, you'll probably really enjoy them. As is the theme of the M&G releases, it's co-released with another fine label, this time in the form of Mannequin Republic (the label run by Sam Ducworth AKA Get Cape Wear Cape Fly) and is available on 7 via all good indie shops nationwide, and also on CD via www.myspace.com/meetandgreetbsm

The band are on tour right now. Dates are...

13.11 - Exeter, The Cavern
14.11 - Bournemouth, I Bar
15.11 - Kingston, New Slang @ The Works
16.11 - London, Jamm
17.11 - Cardiff, Clwb Ifor Bach
18.11 - London, The Slaughtered Lamb
20.11 - Brighton, The Freebutt
21.11 - Liverpool, Magnet
26.11 - London, Camden Enterprise (M&G launch night w/ Sam Isaac, Tubelord)

02: MMISL tour disaster!
-----------------------------------------------------

It's been a tough couple of weeks for the Meet Me In St Louis lads. Their tour with Hell Is For Heroes has been blighted by cancelled shows due to illness, vans breaking down, replacement rental cars falling through and then to round it all off, just when things were looking up, the final two dates being called off due to Justin from HIFH falling ill. Who said it's easy being in a band?

Incase you hadn't already heard, Toby (singer) has decided to leave the band and persue other projects. His last show was due to be in London tonight, but we'll now be looking to arrange something else so everyone can come out and sing along with him one last time. Keep an eye on the band's Myspace page for news on that. Don't worry, MMISL will definitely be carrying on. If you fancy having a go at filling Toby's bearded shoes, get in touch with the band. They're looking for someone right now, with a busy-as-ever touring schedule looming in the new year.

03: Competition time!
-----------------------------------------------------

It's been a long time since we last ran a competition, so how about we make up for that right now?

If you'd like to win copies of the as yet unreleased CDs from House of Brothers and Sam Isaac, plus some posters and other bits and pieces (ie whatever I decide to grab and throw in with the package), simply answer the below question:

On Blog Scary Monsters I recommended a Chicago band described as a cross between Sufjan Stevens and The Polyphonic Spree - who are they?

Email your answer to bsmrocks@googlemail.com - Winner drawn at random on 1st Dec

04: New videos online now
-----------------------------------------------------

I've just added to the BSM Myspace page a lovely video of Richard Walters performing live on Manchester's Channel M TV station. On there he plays a brand new song as well as an EP favourite. Give it a look, and if you like it, pick up his 'Pilot Lights EP' from www.bsmrocks.com or itunes.

Also on the Myspace video front, I've added a nifty little toy which means you can watch a whole host of BSM video treats, without even having to leave the page. Winner! www.myspace.com/bigscarymonsters

05: T-shirt offer
-----------------------------------------------------

T-shirt stocks have been low for a long time but that's all sorted now, and better than that, we have more sizes and colours than ever before! What could possibly bring more joy than that?

Well, how about an offer whereby you get a FREE copy of the BSM sampler CD 'Record Label Shmecord Label' with every new t-shirt order? That's quite a lot of happiness right there.
Place your order via www.bsmrocks.com and get happy
