how the hell does it work? what does "1" represent if the top track's "4"?

My personal profile says daft punk's been played 26 times, and they have 3 in the group chart. Weird.

Google gave me a page which said:

"Since group-charts are calculated not by the amount of listens every user has per week but by the amount of users that did listen to a certain artist in that certain week (without looking how many times it was played)"

If i understand that means that you can listen to daft punk 10000 times, but if 5 people listen to Madonna once each it will still rank higher.

The people who run this site drink in a pub just above the foundry so can always go ask them ;)

i've heard the same thing - and it makes sense to do it that way, rather than basing it on how much a person plays this or that band/song... gives a much better idea of the commonalities of the group.

hey, by the way, who's the one here who listens to Saul Williams? i heard a song by him by listening to the group radio, and found i'm quite fond of him now.
