I still remmember when I was 9, teacher asked my class to do an essay about why we were proud of being portuguese. I handed over a blanck page and said I wasn't proud of being portuguese. Teacher asked why and I answerd: "I haven't achieved it and our country sucks". I'm all for cultural separation/preservation but I'll never be able to undersand why someone would be proud of his nation, race or even to be human. Looking into what your ancestors were good at mb usefull for you, but if you look at things with rationality, there is absolutely nothing to be proud of, since we are just insignificant temporary beings without any deep purpose and those weren't your achievments. Only a stupidly inflated ego can think of his race to be more important than other races. Turn to yourselves, not to your national heros or idles, have fun, live your life and ofc... STAY METAL ;D

Nationalists and racialists who take pride in their country or "race" are automatically off the intelligence list, you are no longer intelligent, you are no longer free thinking, your no longer an individual, you no longer have anything of worth to bring to the world. If your so proud of the plot of land your parents happened to fuck on add the street name to your identity you dick, "hi my names chris and I'm a proud coombe laneian", "dick head lane is for people born here". People only take pride in their "race", nation or culture have never done anything worthy of taking pride in.

Another part of this whole issue of racial pride due to being a minority, or lacking in positive role models or a proud history, is that some people just happen to come from a cultural origin where the written word wasn't available, or the legacy/deeds of a people simply wasn't recorded. In such cases oral tradition is the substitute, and I don't have to spell out how problematic this can be (especially considering the diaspora that goes along with seeking greener pastures---in America for example). Anyway, this really isn't any reason to punish "white people" who have their own significantly proud history which has been, arguably, the most prolifically written and studied saga, at least in the Western world (which is only natural considering it's these people who settled and colonized these lands). I'm sorry, but I also must say.. it isn't the white man's burden to bear the stigma of other race's "forgotten past" or to help bring 'em up by the bootstraps, so to speak.

What exactly does it mean "minorities... they're disadvantaged"? Are you saying they're less than some one or thing? Anyway, It's not like people of ANY racial type all have the same qualities, exhibit the same exact patterns of behavior or thought, and all want the same things (i.e. there isn't some national conspiracy of a racial majority to keep minorities at a "disadvantage"). If anything, the left, which pretty much composes every major news network in America, besides Fox, consistently pushes the egalitarian agenda (or affirmative action) by removing bad black/minority images or context which reinforce negative stereotypes from news reports, commercials and television shows while at the same time promoting positive ones. If blacks/minorities are at a lack of pride (perhaps due in part to a lack of positive role models), maybe more of them should step up to learn their history and teach it to their children, or do something worthy of remembrance for future generations themselves?

They were still born that way, so they still have no right to be proud of something that they didn't accomplish, unless whoever created the group description is completely full of shit. Otherwise, yes, it is a double standard. Did gay people choose to be gay? Did Puerto Ricans choose to be Puerto Rican? White people aren't always the oppressive, wealthy, in-control people that you think them to be anymore. Afrikaaners are a minority in South Africa, is it racist for them to be proud to be Afrikaaners? According to your logic, yes, because they're white. I really don't especially want any sort of 'white pride day', we already have St. Patricks Day, etc. I just want to point out a double standard that DOES exist.

most of the people on here are separatists, they have no intention of committing a genocide etc.. But in response to Bowray_ Samuray , other cultures have "Pride" events all the time. My city just had Black Pride Day in the main city park, as well as the Puerto Rican Pride Parade. So by you're libtarded logic, its OK for them to be proud of ones race and culture, ONLY IF YOU ARENT WHITE. THEN you're a racist. Having to spell this out a million times and people still don't understand it. its amazing......

Let me start by saying that the concept of 'racial superiority' is stupid and anyone who believes in it is extremely unintelligent. The only thing that race determines is your physical appearance and ancestral background. I'm proud to be my parent's son, and I'm proud of being white. I didn't choose to be either of those, but they're still something I like about myself and If I were any other race I'd be proud of being that race. White people, just like every other group of people on Earth, have a common background and heritage that I wish more people paid attention to. The apathy of today's society to the stories, epics, and legends of their ancestors disappoints me.
