    For me it's pretty much anything from Bach's Partita II. But I can't even play past the first page of the Ciaconna :(

    I've recently got into the Mozart violin concertos particularly No 3 which I have to say is my fav at the moment.

    Sibelius violin concerto, Beethoven violin concerto, Khachaturian violin concerto, Spanish symphonie (lalo), Tchaikovsky violin concerto etc.
    I love a lot of violin composition but I think if i must to choose just one I take Sarasate's Zigeunerweisen.

    Mozart's violin concerto no.3 and Paganini's caprices. Especially 1st,4th,5th,9th,10th,11th,13th,20th and 24th ;)

    Dvorak - Songs My Mother Taught Me (does somebody have the sheet music of this work?? I would really like to have it, but I can't find it anywhere on the internet for free)
    Tchaikovsky - Violin Concerto in D major, op.35
    John Williams - Schindler's List
    Max Bruch - Violin Concerto No.1 in G minor, op.26
    Antonio Vivaldi - The Four Seasons

    Schindler's List is by far one of my favs, I loved when we played it with the whole orchestra!!.
    The solo is sweet!

    I've listened to a lot of renditions of this peice and to me Milstein's DG 1975 rendition and his previous recording before that are the best interpretations of the piece I've ever heard.

    I love anything by Shakti's L. Shankar. L Subramaniam, and Kunnakudi come a close second.
    I guess there aren't many Indian Classical listeners here. :)

  • Some Paganini Caprices and Concerto 2, Sarasate's almost all works, Mendelssohn concerto, Mozart concerto 5, Ysaÿe sonatas, Tchaikovsky Concerto, Sibelius concerto, some Bach works ( double concerto and partitas mainly), Vivaldi's concertos, Tartini sonatas et cetera.
