I created this group to support the former KISS lead guitarist Vinnie Vincent. He has never been appreciated for the work to did with the band. He has written some of the best songs and helped them...

Lick It Up, I Love It Loud, I Still Love You, Unholy and Young And Wasted. These songs wouldn't have been if it weren't for Vinnie Vincent. The Ankh Warrior was recruited to KISS to contribute with his amazing song writing skills. In the absence of Ace Frehley, Vincent was chosen to take over the guitar duties for the Creatures Of The Nightalbum and tour. His makeup was designed by Paul Stanley. Vinnie made his live debut with KISS in Bismarck Civic Center in USA. The tour lasted for five months. In june 1983, the band would play the last couple of gigs with their trademark makeup. The band finished the make up era by playing in front of 200 000(!) people on Estádio do Morumbi, São Paulo. They officially appeared in public without makeup for the first time on a September 18, 1983 appearance on MTV, which coincided with the release of the band's new album, Lick It Up. The tour showing off the new album and the unmasked band members started off at Lisbon, Portugal, on the 11th of October, 1983, at Pavilhão de Cascais, their first concert ever without makeup.

Lick It Up became Kiss's first gold record in three years, but the tour was even more sparsely attended than the one for Creatures of the Night. Due to quickly rising tensions between Vincent and the rest of Kiss (particularly Simmons and Stanley), Vincent was fired at the conclusion of the tour in March 1984. He was never an official member of KISS since no contract was singed.

After his departure from KISS, he formed Vinnie Vincent Invasion and recruited Robert Fleischman as vocalist for the debut album Invasion. However, it became oblivious that Fleischman was just a session member. The band brought in Mark Slaughter and started touring. A video was produced for the song "Boyz Are Gonna Rock" with Slaughter lip syncing to Fleischman's voice. The band went on tour, supporting bands like Alice Cooper and Iron Maiden. In 1988 the second album, All Systems Go, was released. The band split shortly after the release. Mark Slaughter and Dana Strum went on and formed Slaughter. After this, much wasn't heard from Vinnie, he guest played on some albums, and regularly visited KISS expos. He has been quoted saying "I have plans to re-record some KISS-songs that I wrote" and "Yes, there are plans on a ballad album some time in the future".
