  B9 is hateable for its ridiculous fans if anything. They've got some good artists for sure (Ceremony, Polar Bear Club, Verse, et al). Ceremony stuff sounds like it was written in 1983. Way punk. I would start out with Violence Violence/Ruined, but Scared People and Still Nothing Moves You are great as well, with a little more weird Swans influence. Lyrics are ridiculous.

  LOLing so hard over here at people equating the 'relevance' of a band with their albums' ratings on Pitchfork. Actually, LOL at that whole post. For real though, BSS has always been pretty overrated. They played for almost three hours when I saw them in '04 (I think); I was bored out of my skull.
