AmaroK or Rhythmbox?

  • @skrimstla: No, it's not, but it does require KDE packages to run.

  • Guayadeque!! ^_^

prefer using clementine than the others :D

  • Exclusively use MPD, occasionally mplayer2 (for music with messy tags)

  • Rhythmbox

I used to think Rhytmbox is the best playes. Then I gone for Banshee. And now I use Clementine. It's a good one.

    Clementine is my fav.

Screw clementine and other native players, foobar works with wine, lovely!

    Foobar2000 for the win!

    VLC.

Rhythmbox, Banshee and Audacious felt buggy, slow and partly unresponsive on my old notebook, all three of them crashed regularly. VLC is the only that appears to be relatively reliable without using too much CPU and memory.

  • ^Ever tried QuodLibet?

  • Rhythmbox > Amarok.

If I would go for a GUI based player...imo nothing beats "Banshee" in terms of features.

But personally I use this: http://irenicus09.wordpress.com/2012/03/06/commandline-based-music-player/
