  I can't help thinking that if Rubicon was the first Tristania i ever heard i'd think it was a really good band but not the great one it is - there are some great songs but also ordinary stuff (like Magical Fix) - it's the song writing that's the main difference from previous albums, nothing to do with Mariangela's vox - previous albums (except Ashes) give main musical credit to Einar, Anders and Morten (before he left) - Einar's only contribution to this album seems to be Illumination, which is one of the stand-out songs - is Tristania just running out of musical ideas?

  A little bit disappointed after the new album.. was accepting something more unique! But i still think its a great album and that they did a good job with Mariangela!

  well neither sounds much like the tristania we know and love (bands change, grow, i suppose) but they do taste good

  thanks darkcrypt, but not a great advertisement for the new Tristania. i know videos of live gigs can be misleading but it's not a great song, it's a new sound that isn't exciting (so far) and the vocals are diabolical - it just doesn't sound like Tristania, which is perfection

  Tristania is one of my favourite bands with Vibs and with Mary. Mary is not precisely an opera singer, but i think she does a pretty good job with them...give her a chance people! dont be so close-minded!

  the band could find a better vocal but mary is like a pop singer. her clother, voices, and behaviours aren't goth for tristania. i'm waiting for new album. but i know i wont like it
