    Best new album - Common? Kanye? Talib? What are you currently digging?

    I have to say that the Common album is very strong. Kayne's beats are some of the better ones in his career, that's for sure.

    What do you think about the Kanye album?
    What's currently rotating on your iPod?

  • Common's Finding Forever is definitely an album that's been getting rotation in my iTunes.

    Some of the tracks on Talib's Eardrum aren't bad at all. It's a must listen for the Kweli fans.

    If you're talking about Kanye's past two albums, then of course, they are must listens to anybody who loves Hip-Hop in general. But if you mean Graduation, the tracks are stronger (no pun intended) than others on the radio. I won't be surprised if he outsells 50, but that seems highly unlikely.

    I guess you're taling about Kanye's upcoming album "TheGraduation". He already released two singles: "Can't Tell Me Nothing" and "Stronger". Naw, I gotta say, I love Kanye's music for the lyrical content and the beats, because his beats are truely unique. But the two new singles are from a whole new style, and I do not really like it. The original "Better, Faster..."-whatever song by Daft Punk is awsome but what Kanye made it sux. His videos got worse, they suck so damn hard, and I believe his album will flop. Or atleast there will be people left disapointed. I miss the soul or gospel in his songs.
    Anyways, Commons album is probably the best. But Kweli's is really nice too.
    But recently I'm listening to Jan Delay, his style is so damn hot, you won't find anything similar in germany and I didn't hear anything english like that too. And ofc Fiva MC, Advanced Chemistry and Common - Missunderstood!

    damn .... i would say kanye does it again ... ^^ he knows what the people want .... i would say kanye west - homecoming is track of the year 2007 and it might be the best track in this fuckin century ... xD

    damn ya'll don't know what u are talkin about. pete philly & perquisites new joint called mystery repeats is blazin. i think its the best album 2007. kanye, common, talib etc. are dope too but they can't mess with PP & PQ. "... bringin analog sound back in times of plastic!". Peace world!

  • Best albums I have heard this year probably Florida by Diplo and Kala by M.I.A, there's not many people doing anything new with hip hop right now but those two definately are.
