The Raconteurs is the end of The White Stripes?

I think The Raconteurs is going to end The White Stripes legend. Maybe Jack White will be busy with his new band, so he ignores the old one. Well, I hope not.

  • Well he said he's making a Raconteurs and a White Stripes album this year, so let's see.

See you in another life, brothaa!

    White Stripes

White Stripes are pretty good, but I would love to see more Raconteurs in the future, even if it is a long wait.

    New album

Well, Raconteurs is not the end of White Stripes. Jack and Meg will release their new album in June :)

    yo

personally i think its a good thing...i thought The Raconteurs had some really good stuff, more of the soulful stuff i liked by the white stripes.

though the White Stripes' new stuff is fresh, its not the electric-driven blues rock that I like. a lot of what The Raconteurs put on on their first full album was really good (though admittedly some of it straight up sucked) and I think this will only get better

    respek

  • The White Stripes are good and all, don't get me wrong, but the Raconteurs totally blow them away. The Racs dont even compare to the stripes, in my eyes.

    Other opinions??

  • Everyone comparing the bands....

Once again I disagree. All these bands are different! They're all on the same side and play different parts in telling the stories that Jack White and his various bandmates need to tell! The White Stripes is more of that childish sort of style. They can go from garage rock to an almost whimsical sort of childish style to dark and paranoid. The Raconteurs almost seem like the teen years of Jack White's bands if you think of it in those terms. Like the way Jack White acts in the bands while playing and the songs that he writes and plays. In The Raconteurs he seemed to have indulged himself a little more like anyone does when they're a teen. He got a couple of custom guitars and all that snazz. Then there's The Dead Weather who seem kind of like his adult years and that point in one's life where one questions things and that music is darker, heavier, he doesn't interact AS much with the audience. If any one of those bands disbanded I would be extremely sad. Besides, The White Stripes don't seem like they're quite ready to bite the proverbial dust quite yet, and I don't think they're planning to... So I hope that both bands stay together. Can't one multi-task?

JACK FREAKING WHITE!!!!! *Dreamy sigh and collapse then wakes up and continues to stalk him and Terrance Zdunich ^^*
