  hello to you folks :) I'm intening to write a seminar paper about the pop (counter) culture during the prime ministership of margaret thatcher in the UK (1979-1990) the significance and the influence of the smiths during that time will be one of my subjects. if someone has any ideas or recommendations regarding any sort of texts about the smiths or statements OF the band or ABOUT the band via a private message (!!!), I'd be VERY VERY grateful :)))

  I can't think of a song that I didn't like of theirs. This album encapsulates everything that's brilliant about the Smiths, and every song off the album is spot on.

  amazing album, definitely one of my favourites. this album is pretty definitive for me personally because 'the boy with the thorn in his side' is the first smiths song i ever heard. amazing guy, there are no words really.

  Best album from the 80s. I would never forget the first time I listened to "Cemetry Gates". Every song is a winner. Even "Never Had No One Ever" and "Vicar in a Tutu" were better than most of other bands' songs from that era.

  you just have to love their unique sound, like you'll hear a song on the radio or in a movie n its like whey thats the smiths. *****Name your favourite Smiths song ever guys n girls?**** My personal fav is How Soon is Now, could literally listen to it a million times n never get tired of it. Saw it played live years ago, n literally blew me away :)

  i bloooooody loooooove the smiths! without meaning to sound like a complete old doosh, "they dont make bands like that anymore" lol. Saw morrissey live n thought he was brilliant!!!! great group :)
