Politics Politics Politics!

  • I got a letter in the mail today from the Creation Studies Institute. It's pretty much a call to arms to creationists to unite and wage "war" against evolution in school. It's pretty cute, only asks me to donate $35.

..and what wouldn't you do for the cause?

Had a dull hour at work yesterday and we discovered that the Jehova's witnesses have a website, Watchtower, and there's a Would You Welcome a Visit? -function. Naturally, we had to request a bible study for our pentagram carrying collegues - eight o'clock Saturday morning.

It's obvious choice really. Gussie Fink-Nottle would vote for him too.

Everything about Newt Gingrich is repulsive. EVERYTHING

    EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING.

Vile, evil, racist, hideous. Is it wrong to feel like his breath stinks? I feel like his breath stinks.

  • He really is the worst. He's almost done the impossible and become more unlikeable than Rick Santorum.

Sometimes I think getting all worked up about how dumb the conservative candidates are becomes an excuse to not hold Democrats accountable. It's obvious Newt Gingrich isn't going to win shit, and neither is Mitt Romney. There is just no credible candidate that will beat Obama. I think we should just stick to lighting a fire under his ass and ignore the GOP spectacle.

your poasts are all profanities, your sig isn't worth the electrons it's displayed with
  • Agreed. The GOP primaries are nothing but spectacle, and the candidates are bad, unelectable jokes. That, and the fact that the economy could be worse are the only thing Obama's got going for him. Independents and swing voters may still vote for him, but his base surely isn't as enthusiastic as they were in 2008. Hopefully, voter suppression and general apathy grown out of frustration and disappointment won't keep enough people from giving the keys to Romney.

I think that this is a risky mindset. I hope you're right, but the fact that these candidates have made it this far with such open use of bigoted rhetoric is still really predictable and telling.

The Southern vote is the ugliest vote.

Tracy Morgan had it right: Why vote when you can play three games of pool instead?

Australian politics is a joke. Imagine if they replaced Blair with Brown after two years, and then two years later brought Blair back again. Tin pot democracy, honestly.

    Poll: Tebow for President

"Asked which NFL playoff quarterback they would choose for president of the United States in the coming election, more than one in four voters go for Tebow, according to the results of a new Reuters/Ipsos poll of likely voters."

    That is a stunning endorsement.

He's the only quarterback I can name, so I guess he's got my vote.

That was then, this is dumb.
