    Here are the lines:
"I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You're a plague and we are the cure."

No, not 'The Day the Earth Stood Still."

    Here's another series of lines:
"I know you're out there. I can feel you now. I know that you're afraid... you're afraid of us. You're afraid of change. I don't know the future. I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end. I came here to tell you how it's going to begin. I'm going to hang up this phone, and then I'm going to show these people what you don't want them to see. I'm going to show them a world without you. A world without rules and controls, without borders or boundaries. A world where anything is possible. Where we go from there is a choice I leave to you."

I don't have the most remote idea

    But:

    "A Midnight Summer Dream"?

"You could follow two paths in your life:
    One is ride a agreable carpet, It could let you to Hell;
the Other is plagged of pain: It could be the 'Stairway to Heaven'"

Not a Terminator flick, but you have the right genre!

    here's another line...
"We don't know who struck first, us or them. But we do know it was us that scorched the sky. At the time, they were dependent on solar power. It was believed they would be unable to survive without an energy source as abundant as the sun."

jc, What's with you and the word "earth"? That's your fourth guess that contained "earth".

    Here are some more hints...
    -First word: "The"
    -Genre: Sci-Fi
    -Think "Trench coats"

    BluesRok / Jay
  • men in black?

    Men in Black? Nope.

    More hints...

    -This was a 1999 movie.

Plot: A computer hacker learns from mysterious rebels about the true nature of his reality and his role in the war against the controllers of it.

    -Another line:
"That's exactly my point. Exactly. Because you have to wonder: how do the machines know what Tasty Wheat tasted like? Maybe they got it wrong. Maybe what I think Tasty Wheat tasted like actually tasted like oatmeal, or tuna fish. That makes you wonder about a lot of things. You take chicken, for example: maybe they couldn't figure out what to make chicken taste like, which is why chicken tastes like everything. "

  • at first i thought you were quoting something from "War of the Worlds" but your more recent hints just gave them away!!! i am pretty sure the lines come from the matrix, my dad loves that movie, and we have seen it more times than necessary so some of the quotes have been instilled in my head, especially the one when hugo weaving says "never send a human to do a machine's job". i thought he was a badass character!!!

by the way, I lol'd at this:

Way to go oldschool! It was The Matrix. Now, it's your turn to quote a movie line. Knowing you, we could see anything from the 1960's to today. Let's see what you've got for us...

    BluesRok / Jay
  • Guy 1: "Now, I'm gonna open my fly and you're gonna swallow what I give ya to swallow. And after you swallow mine you're gonna swallow Rooster's cause ya done broke his nose and I think he oughta have something to show for it."

Guy 2: "Anything you put in my mouth you're gonna lose."

Guy 1: "Naw, you don't understand. You do that and I'll put all eight inches of steel in your ear."

  • The Shawshank Redemption

If I ever die of a heart attack, I hope it will be from playing my stereo too loud.
  • lol yes.

    your turn.

  • Jerry: Oh, you don't understand, Osgood! Ehhhh... I'm a man.
    Osgood: Well, nobody's perfect.

If I ever die of a heart attack, I hope it will be from playing my stereo too loud.
  • clue please.

love is all you need! is there anybody alive out there?
  • Legendary blonde with two musicians without a job... in 1959

    Director:
    Billy Wilder

If I ever die of a heart attack, I hope it will be from playing my stereo too loud.
