The Angelic Process is an ambient drone, lava flow, sludge band with an exceptional music, and this here is my way of showing of how much I love their music. You can freely discuss here anything at...
Please don't bother joining if you think it's "cool". It's not... this group is for people who love The Angelic Process. There can be nothing less of a feeling for their music.

This was taken from the official site of The Angelic Process:
Formed in 1999 (with their debut issued in 2001), THE ANGELIC PROCESS have spent the last 8 years creating some of the most exciting and unique music ever heard. Pioneers and figureheads of the Ambient Drone Metal subgenre of extreme music, their influence can be found in numerous bands that have come of age in their wake. With a sound that fuses the layered guitar drone of MY BLOOD VALENTINE, the epic sound and tribal thump of NEUROSIS, the emotional bloodletting of JARBOE/SWANS, and complex, yet fluidly shifting time signatures, THE ANGELIC PROCESS have forged new musical ground and over the course of a nine releases on labels all over the world, have refined and defined a sound that one person described as "the sound my soul makes".
THE ANGELIC PROCESS live is no less as intense. Blasting noise, complex melodies, droning guitar resonance, rippling bass, tom-heavy tribal drums, and hauntingly emotional vocals collide to create violently ambient songs that have a definite shape and progression, but envelope the audience in warm, bombastic soundscapes.
"While M and I were answering questions for an upcoming Terrorizer interview, it kind of hit me...The Angelic Process actually formed in 1999. I've always said 2001, but that was just when our first recordings were released. I spent a good 2 years of nothing but working on The Angelic Process and getting our sound. When we realized this, we felt we needed to amend our bio and let that be known. Although we've said it quite a bit, I don't think people really get how different music was back in 1999/2000 and how hard it was to not only come up with our sound, but also get people to understand it. Isis had just formed, Justin Broadrick was still doing Godflesh, Sigur Ros hadn't hit yet, Mogwai were just starting to get real attention.
So that's 8 years this band has been a part of my life..."

Concerning the break-up of the group:
BAND ON HOLD INDEFINITELY-
During the last few weeks, I have had to face a very difficult reality...as it stands, I can no longer make music. The break to my already damaged right hand has not healed correctly. As of now, I can't play drums at all and I only have a limited ability to play guitar (and I cannot bow at all). Even with surgery, a recovery that would allow me to play well enough to continue the band is not assured. Such a surgery would also require extensive muscle reconstruction and bone resetting and will take an estimated year and a half to 2 years to heal.
I have made music for the last 12 years...nearly half my life. I've done The Angelic Process for nearly 9 of those. When I think about who I am without music, I don't really know. Sometimes, something is so much a part of you...
But to get to the point, The Angelic Process has been put on hold indefinitely. There is nothing else that can be done about that. We have also managed to sell out of all the copies of all the reissue albums and most of our supply of the other albums. We will no longer be selling Angelic Process merchandise through our website or Decaying Sun site. This may change in the future, but as of right now, we need a break from everything. The stress and amount of energy that have gone into making this decision have left M and I drained and in need of a recovery period. All the orders that have been placed will be filled and everyone will get their order, but no new orders will be excepted from this point on. Any new news or updates about the band will be posted here and on the website.
We want to thank everyone for everything. We have met so many amazing people because of the band and our life has been improved so much by those interactions. I so want to name everyone and thank them personally and I'm sure I will in time, but right now I just want to get this post over with.
This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life. It feels like a part of me is dying. I am sorry to everyone who loves this band as much a we do. I'm sorry to everyone who will never see us play live. I'm sorry to everyone...
