I just discovered this great band!
Whats their best album? best song? in your opinion?

  • Today I´ve bouht the Live In London DVD!!!!! It kicks ass!!!!

"All our hate is a product of a world... We created"
  • I was at the store a week ago and the only Testament they had was Live in London, but one was some special limited edition. I didn't know to get it or not.

Oh yea and for The Creed, their best is subject to your opinion. There's The Legacy, Practice What You Preach, The New Order and Souls of Black from their classic thrash lineup of albums. The Ritual's not too bad either. But my honest favourite is The New Order merely for the fact that there's 2 amazing instrumentals on there.

I'm listening to The Gathering right now and loving it!
I forgot how sick this album was, and almost forgot about how much I love Testament, I seriously Grew up on Testament, Prong & Pantera. (like when I was 2 or 3 I met Chuck Billy, lol)

Practice What You Preach & The Ritual are my favorite albums.
But The Gathering & Low are up there. I love all their stuff, except Demonic I'm not crazy about.

One of the greatest bands ever, period!

I also discovered the band recently .. i think that the compilation "First Strike Still Deadly" is their best ...

My favorites tracks are Trial by fire and Into the pit

  • Howdy. I've been listening to Testament for some years. Personally I think Practice what you preach, Low and The Gathering are their best albums

    the bla bla...

i want to say something to the live albums ;) =P
hm... i got now the live at the fillmore and live in london its very bad that over the wall and some other killer tracks have been lost on this show... and the souls of black bassline at the beginning of the track is strange... but its Greg Christian on both records... but very cool are the last the tracks on the fillmore cd the acoustic versions of their 3 best ballads =P
but now its time for a new album... there are too much live-albums of this band out here ... lets hope that they will play some new songs on their gig at the up from the ground festival.. i want to go there only because testament plays there =)
the gig on the earthshaker fest. was great, its mostly the same playlist and the preacher as first song on a live-gig is the best killer :P

  • Well I think the first four are the best. Then goes Low (killer solos), The Gathering and the mediocore Demonic. But if you are just getting into this band listen to First Strike Still Deadly.

Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man.

Having been a Testament fan for the last twenty years, I can quite safely say, that I have enjoyed everything that the band has ever done and can only hope that they will return to the studio sometime this year, I am more than ready for some new material from the Bay Area's best.

As for best tracks, difficult as there are so many of them, but if I really had to choose, it would be "Over The Wall", "DNR" and "Sins Of Omission"

I'm with Seance on this one - I first saw Testament live in Edinburgh, Scotland when they were supporting Anthrax - they only had "The Legacy" out at that point - and they've kept me entertained ever since. Great band.

  • I haven't got all their albums yet. Just got the Legacy, The New Order, Practice What You Preach,The Ritual, and the Gathering. I started listening to Testament about a year ago. Haven't stopped since. I love this band and am dying to get a copy of The Formation of Damnation. My favourite album is probably the New Order, but I haven't listened to a weak album yet. My fave tracks are probly Sins of Omission, Disciples of the Watch, Perilous Nation, and Into the Pit. Love them all though. They have very few weak tracks. Hope they can come to Australia soon!

    UP THE IRONS!
