  Yeah, as far as I'm know Band Of Gypsys was an album title released under the name Jimi Hendrix.

  Are You Experienced, Axis: Bold As Love, and Electric Ladyland are The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Band of Gypsys, First Rays of the New Rising Sun, etc. were post-Experience and released as just Jimi. THE MORE YOU KNOW

  I really sory if it make you disgusted, but I think Mitch and Noel was far in the background when they play with Jimi Hendrix and is a only small difference between tag 'Jimi Hendrix' and 'The Jimi Hendrix Experience'. For example many of songs, witch are on Axis or Are You was played by Jimi solo before group times.

  Normally I'd agree, but for the purpose of personal statistics (and more importantly) the sanity of my media library, I lump all my Jimi stuff under 'Jimi Hendrix.' "Foxy Lady" sounded different when played by the Band Of Gypsys than the Experience, but i'd still want it counted together since it's Jimi's show all the way, regardless of how great his supporting musicians were.

  The album cover of Band Of Gypsys says "Hendrix - Band Of Gypsys", so I see BoG as the name of the album and I tag it as Jimi Hendrix.
