For all of us who can't stand Twilight.
Index of Arguments (so far):
1. "Edward is abusive"
2. "Fantasy does not excuse a lack of realism"
3. "The books are sexist"
4. "The books (Twilight specifically) have no plot/character development"
5. "Bella and Edward are in lust, not love"
6. "Bella is an idiot (aka Meyer tells and doesn't show)"
7. "Imprinting IS sexual no matter what (aka imprinting is sexist and pedophilic)"
8. "The Twilight books send bad messages... and yes it is a big deal."
9. "Science: Why Nessie shouldn't exist."
10. "Science: Meyer fails at it"
11. "Choice: What Feminism isn't, and what Bella doesn't have."

Stephen King publicly announced his distaste for Stephenie Meyer's horribly amature writing skills in a recent USA TODAY interview claiming, "Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good."
He goes on to explain, "in the case of Stephenie Meyer, it's very clear that she's writing to a whole generation of girls and opening up kind of a safe joining of love and sex in those books. It's exciting and it's thrilling and it's not particularly threatening because they're not overtly sexual. A lot of the physical side of it is conveyed in things like the vampire will touch her forearm or run a hand over skin, and she just flushes all hot and cold. And for girls, that's a shorthand for all the feelings that they're not ready to deal with yet."
Oh, ouch! That's gotta sting. Finally someone in the literary world has the balls to confess how mediocre Meyer's writing truly is. However, because of this sudden act of brutal honesty the twitards are having a hissy over this by attacking King's own ability to write, his sanity, and his apparent…jealousy? That's right, the twitards have convinced themselves that Stephen King is just jealous of Stephenie Meyer because he didn't think of Twilight first.
…LOLWTF?! Stephen King already dabbled in the vampire fiction genre when he wrote Salem's Lot AGES ago. His vampires scare the living shit out of you, and what of Meyer's sparklepires? The best they can do is blind you with their sparkly, glittery complexion as they flee away in their shiny Volvo so as to not miss their first period class. Don't want to get a tardy slip!!!

^ that's called a fairy, not a vampire.
