noizicfed I tried using the feather "Tint" and I'm getting an error every time I start up SongBird. Would my best bet be to uninstall and then reinstall?

evaflorida Songbird is a great solution for me. I use the portable app installed on a USB thumb drive that I take to work with me. Last.fm is blocked at the office, but Songbird caches the tracks I listen to so I can scrobble them when I get home.

funtomas76 New Version of Songbird 1.9.3 is available and could be installed with the "help" "updates" function. All my add-ons are still working. :-) Best thing: the performance when searching the library with the search field at the top on the right or when typing some letters is incredible good !!!

mrskinnyarms longtime user of songbird until they dropped linux support. now, whenever i attempt to use it on my friends' macintosh/windows computers, it is absolutely buggy and terrible. avoid avoid avoid.

Sounds like the Songbird developers were able to pull a few strings: http://techie-buzz.com/foss/download-songbird-1-8-0-for-linux.html But unfortunately there is still no longer any official Linux support.

cemilhilton dropping integrated linux support, last.fm hiccups, infrequent updates and countless little bugs did it for me, I switched to Banshee and urge others to do so. It was fun while it lasted, songbird :(

SweedyMick Songbird was a promising audio player (although not enough focused on audio playback features). But as it won't be available on all major operating systems, it is not anymore what I need. That's too bad as I intended to develop my first add-on to make Songbird communicate more with the last.fm API. Goodbye Songbird! Hope to see you soon back.
