who knows this artist? sounds like a mix of moloko & portishead

hey floks, i got this song from an unlabled cd and it drives me crazy. happy for any hint that might help. anyone an idea? cheers!! :)

Neat song, reminded me of a Darling Violetta song, or early Goldfrapp. Maybe a little Morphine.

Wow...

Lots of guesses are up, you should check them out, probably some pretty sweet bands, even if they aren't the right ones.

Nobody seems to know for sure though, which is too bad.

We have a winner.

Thanks to mannix and metafilter user 'the duck by the oboe' we finally found it. See the last two posts of this thread - the band is Goldfish, the song is Tracy. Interestingly, it was the Shazam service which picked it up, rather than an individual.

Internet wins again!
