Mixtapes

So, I've been thinking about starting to post mixtapes to Shock Mountain. I have yet to discuss this with James or Max, so it could still get shot down, but how do you loyal readers feel about this? I'm not actually sure how it would work, but I think it could be kind of cool, even if it was just within the last.fm group. This is still open to the inputs of Max and James, so don't get too excited, but you should still contribute your input. Welcome to democracy.

Yeah, all of us trying to post one once a month would be cool, just as kind of a sampler thing, even, then people could tell us if they want followup on an artist or anything. I actually just made one for a friend that I think is really good (if I do say so myself), which is why I made this, pretty much.

Another interesting idea is a mix made up of band's material who we haven't posted. I've got about 50 emails from bands just sitting in my shockmountain folder. We could also make a post telling bands about it and asking them to contribute by a certain date.
