Best decade for Rock Music?

Best decade for Rock Music? to be quite honest I think the 60's and 70's were the two best decade for Rock n' Roll. Queen, Black Sabbath, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, ...etc ...etc.

I guess the 80's are alright to, Guns n' Roses.

These are just my opinion, let see what opinion that you guys may have. :)

Id have to say for the 1970s for rock developing out of the genre of pop and into its own form and taking on all it embodies. As a development from there, the 80's had a pretty decent mix of rock and metal;
Pantera
Metallica
Guns N' Roses
Ozzy Osbourne
Queen
Aerosmith
etc etc etc

The best are 60 and 70 with Pink Floyd, Queen, Led Zeppelin but ofcourse also Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, The Who, Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath,

But I think the late 80's/early 90's are pretty good with bands like, Gn'R, Nirvana, Aerosmith, Metallica, Radiohead, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains

70s. Led Zeppelin was at their prime, and so many other talented bands surfaced and became recognized then. Heavy metal was spreading, and some of the greatest albums of all-time released.

60s was also great; Led Zeppelin's early stuff, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, and so many others.

the 70s were definitly the best years for rock, but the most important decade for rock was the 50s. It was when Rock n' Roll first hit the scene and exploded into the mainstream.

I would have to say the 1970s, many great bands were formed in 1970 and this is when rock started to grow and become more popular.

the 50's 60's & 70's are the 3 decades of the TRUE rock & roll, in my opinion.

I'd say the 60's and the 70's really sparked off rock, by the 80's it all got a bit cheesy.

I completely agree with you there, you simply can't have bass without the drum kit and the bass guitar otherwise it won't sound as good.

Most of Todays music in general is just plain horrible, rap being the worst of them all followed by pop music. People will do anything for money.
