Saw Willy and Paul last night at the Edinburgh Castle. More a reading than a concert, Willy read passages from Northline while Paul backed him up. They played a couple of Richmond Fontaine songs too, but mostly stuff off the soundtrack. A great evening!

I finished 'Northline', and loved it as much as 'Motel Life'. I don't know how Willy does it, simple stories without any flashy writing, but the characters really resonate and the book has real heart. Another winner for Vlautin.

Who wouldn't be? And damn it, it's just occured to me that Northline is out there, unbought by me and I'm sat at home scratching myself and swilling beer. Whereas I should acually be reading it while doing such things.
