Electronic music is a part of Belgian heritage. Like Germany and the US, Belgium is often viewed as the birthplace of all things electronic. Sadly there has been far too little documentation about the Belgian club scene over the past thirty years. That's why we've taken it upon us to create a thorough and in-depth record of Belgian nightlife in the months (and years) ahead. From Telex, Front 242, New Beat, Technotronic, Outlander, CJ Bolland, Ian Van Dahl and Soulwax to 55, Boccaccio, Extreme, Carat, Fuse, Zillion, Dirty Dancing and Culture Club. And let's not forget renowned labels like R&S, USA Import, Bonzai, Lowlands, N.E.W.S. and Eskimo Recordings.

A lot of clubs never kept an archive of flyers or posters. There are also loads of record covers that cannot be found anywhere on the net. To say nothing of recordings or even videos of legendary DJ sets and concerts. But maybe you still have an invitation for the opening of La Rocca in ’88 hidden in a cupboard somewhere? Hundreds of Dirty Dancing flyers? How about some posters or videos? Stickers, DJ sets, a vintage photo of you and your girl/boyfriend in Café d’Anvers? Boccaccio? Cherry Moon? Decadance? At Free the Funk? Kozzmozz? House Torhout? 10 Days of Techno in the Bowling Alley near Gravensteen?

Before all these precious memorabilia end up in the rubbish bin and are lost forever, get in touch and add your own piece of history to Belgian nightlife. In September we will be launching an interactive website with the most exciting overview of the Belgian electronic music and club scene – ever! Stay tuned.
