maybe not the most underrated band, but no-one really ever gives the charlatans a mention, considering they sound almost exactly the same as the stone roses, same music, same sound, theyre just both so alike!, i wonder if some stone roses listeners actually listen to them??

    Forgotten bands of yesteryear

Some great Manchester bands that never seem to get a mention anymore
    The Railway Children
    Ruthless Rap Assassins
    Man from Delmonte
    Electronic
    The Chameleons
    A Certain Ratio
    Magazine

"The Fall are always different but always the same" (John Peel)
  • Anyone care to recommend any new and good Manchester bands? As in, ones I can nip to the pub and see..

Saw Working for a Nuclear Free City in the pub down the road a few weeks ago, and they were fantastic. Hope they get popular enough to play big-ish venues, because that would be a great show.
