uhm, i know I'll get grief for this, but...I couldn't keep Skies of Arcadia on for more than 10 minutes...lol I was just majorly turned off by it, I'm sure its not the worst game ever, but its the only one that comes to mind :/

so tape the things you take for granted onto, the walls of your room
the songs and pictures we need, they need us too.

  • Please don't shoot me... I didn't like one bit of FFX. Damn, the main character was just too damn stupid. That's nothing like a main character should be... I mean, in the first minutes of the game the guy was just showing off being a star of that sport (whatever they called it). Jesus... gimme a break.

Final Fantasy's not what they used to be... unfortunatly.

Oh and, I didn't play the sequel (FFX-2), but I guess it was even worse. xD

PS: Didn't mean to offend anyone! (Btw, sorry for my english, I know I'm not that good xD)

Final Fantasy X was too much like a movie, FFX-2 was worse.

Skies Of Arcadia was a cool game. I liked it. I do not really hate any of the rpgs I played.

    Quoth from myself:
I do not really hate any of the rpgs I played.

As I said, I don't hate any of them that much but there are some, that will barely be played again:
    - Sword Of Mana (GBA)
--> I really liked Mystic Quest (Final Fantasy Adventure) for the GB, but the reissue for the GBA is total shit and some parts are totally missing. It's kinda sad that they made such a bad reissue.
    - Secret Of Evermore (SNES)
--> The whole story and idea behind this game are so stupid and the idea of fighting together with a dog (?!?) is really strange.
    - Shining In The Darkness (MegaDrive / Genesis)
--> What a crappy game... I can't saying much about it because it was so boring.

All FF's besides Tactics, 3 and 9. Dirge of Cerberus, I cannot even begin to explain the suck of this game.

  • Final Fantasy X-2. It was sold on sex appeal, I thought square were better than this.

Also Breath of Fire dragons quarter for PS2. The story is mostly rehashed from previous RPGs and you have to keep starting again. Not appealing.

    FFX was pretty lame.

The Balders Gate series for PC sucked ass, but Dark Alliance has to be one of my favorite RPG's of all time.

I hated Final Fantasy X because I, too, thought Tidus was a gay main character, too.

I once played something called Dungeon Lords. The graphics were okay but other than that it was really crap ;) Dungeon Siege looked like it would suck at the beginning but after some time I found it okay

Most MMORPG's that are free suck. RYL 1 and especially 2 are horrible.

So somehow it seems to be good that I never played FFX. So I will stick on my nick. XD

  • Dude. FFX hate? I'm a bit surprised actually. I thought It was really fun. Tidus wasn't THAT bad. No where near as terrible as Vaan form FF12, and even he doesn't make me not like FF12. I just ignore hids fucking atrocious voice acting and general whining bullshit. The only thing that turned me off FF10 was the #$%!#$% mini games. I wouldn't have minded if they were any good and/or I didn't have to do them to get the ultimate weapons.
And to the one guy who said FF8: WRONG. That's the best FF after 7, and the more original of the two. I love it so much.
Worst FF is 9, no contest. Unless we're counting X-2, which I don't. It's like calling DOA Beach Volleyball a DOA game.
Worst RPG in general... I think I have to say Shin Magami Tensei: Nocturne, just because trying to get to the next part was annoyign as hell. Insanely hard bosses + experience points for enemies going down when you level up = ^#$%&$%^. I really loved the darkness and style of it though. Just... Let me over level. Please.

That's actually one of the reasons why I really liked the game. (and consider it the best RPG I've played) I really enjoy a challenge. Try playing Hard mode. :)

I don't understand what you mean about experience points. Are you angry at how much experience is required to level up only to be able to increase one of your stats?

  • Well from what I could tell, if you go up a level all the experience points for monsters that you kill goes down. Which makes it impossible to over level which makes it impossible to play since it's already really hard. I like a challenge as well, but when you get to a boss that you just can't kill no matter how many hours you play, it's a bit of an ego blow. (I stopepd when I hit Matador, by the way.) The difficulty wasn't even much of a problem for me until that point, but then you have this impossibly hard boss and I stopped playing. I'm sure that's just me, but whatever.

    o_0

I don't think that happens. What you percieved may have been caused by recruited demons requiring more experience to level up that the protagonist, so the protagonist levels up faster. I haven't looked into it so you might be right. I believe this was done to force you to fuse demons (as the produced demon is generally of a higher level than the original demons)

I dislike having to hyper-leveling (or what ever it's called).

The battle system was created to force you to abuse your opponent's weaknesses and protect your own. I believe Matador uses force type moves so you should have a deamon that is strong against force (I recall there being a useful deamon around the area you encounter him) and a force Magatama if you have one. I'm sure you realise this but it seems you put too much emphasis on your level when it's your (and your opponent's) strengths and weaknesses that are more important. (in my opinion, anyways)

  • Well, in any case, I really liked the tone and everything, so I can see why other people would like it. I just didn't. Whatever.
