prominence_la V There IS a fairly comprehensive book - "Rip It Up and Start Again", by Simon Reynolds. (ISBN #: 0143036726) Didn't treat "goth" fairly (which, really, was only a different flavor of post-punk at first), but overall I found it extremely enlightening and enjoyable. I intend to write a more thorough review of it in a few weeks (once I'm through with all these essays).
