    7/10

  • 5/10, passable but not particularly appealing or interesting...

Well this is so not my thing.

But it's calming and not in-your-face and I appreciate that.

    5/10

Oh, shed a tear for the loss of innocence, for the forsaken spirits who aches... in us. Cry for the heart who surrenders to pain, for the solitude of those left behind!

Think you got what it takes?
  • I haven't been in here in quite some time. Almost two years to be exact. I see some new faces and contributors. Very nice. Let me start by saying that David Bowie rocks... it may not be your thing, but he rocks, regardless. If he were an algebraic expression, his level of epic rocking would be a constant.

Anyway, lol... Gallowbraid - Ashen Eidolon. Apart from the Final Fantasy-esque title, this reminds me a bit of Agalloch, which I love. The sheer length of the track alone is something of pretty epic proportion. The song itself was a journey. My only complaint is, it isn't quite on par with Agalloch. It doesn't have that je ne sais quoi quality that makes me shout "YES! THIS BAND FRIGGIN' OWNS!" But it was nice nevertheless.
    6/10.

Allow me now to take you on a strictly Black Metal diet of lengthy distorted melodic awesomeness.

  • Fun music, quite short though. 7,5/10

  • 8/10, rather nice one...

This next song is near and dear to my heart as it surmises my own personal viewpoint about the human condition.

  • Nice animation, lol. Venetian Snares - Winnipeg is a Dogshit Dildo 1/10 I have only listened to Venetian Squares a couple times earlier this year so I appreciate this recommendation. I prefer some of their other work like Cadaverous or Who Wants Cake a bit more than this song. Something about this one just rubs me the wrong way.

  • The Fall - Victoria 7/10 instant win.

Guilia y los Tellarini - Markitos 6/10 Esto me gusto, er... I mean, I like this. :)

My feel-good song I played when transitioning from 2010-2011:

  • One of my least favourite songs from one of my least favorite Devin Townsend albums, but still a good song. 7.2/10

    Some proggy goodness

  • Steven Wilson you say? Automatic 10/10. Lol. But really... This is my first time listening to this piece of work. Sadly, I'm not all for the experimental stuff. I love Wilson's early experimental stuff with Porcupine Tree but I dunno about this one. 4/10. Oh wait, I just got to 4:20... so to speak. ...Ok, nice! 7/10. :)

Here's something to mull around the old noggin.

I hate Phil Collins. That said first, I was extremely bored until 3:40 when it became interesting. For one Minute. Then a stupidly looooong Fade-Out began.
Not even the DKC 2-Sounds could save it to be honest. Still, that one Minute was alright. ~ 4/10

  • Rather good 8/10, a bit too slow and redundant, but apart from that... nice, although not really my cup of tea

This guy probably writes some of the great lyrics out there:

  • Frank Turner - Photosynthesis 9/10. This pretty much sums up why people still think I'm a kid. I loved it.

And now, a song about getting it on in your car by two of my favorite vocalists.

Okay. Kinda made me sleepy. 5/10

  • 2/10 I Don't like it

  • Sabretung - Conquest 7/10 Wicked riffage! The song is musically-awesome, although vocally-disappointing. But hey, can't always have it all.
