    Forced Listening Thread

I really like these threads in a couple other groups I'm in, and I reckon it could go down well here...

So basically you just rate the above person's song out of 10 and give a sentence or two about it. Then you post your own song for the next poster. You can upload them to mediafire, post a youtube video, use a fully streamable last.fm link or something.

Could get interesting or give someone a new favorite band....

I'll start with Frightmare - Angela:

I like them, first time i've heard of em. Not the best death metal band. but it's certainly good and worth listening to.

    Devourment - Serial Cocksucker

It sounds like they are trying really hard to make music that matches the band name in sound. Personally, I prefer to eat my meals a little less noisily.

    Gire - Trans Express

Can't seem to figure out how that youtube link works... oh well, just click it.

Good cover. I haven't heard of Necripsia and checked out their version of the song, and yes, it is a good cover. I love the drumming :D. That dude could improve his vocals though... :\

  • I've heard a lot better for it's genre. But it's not awful. A 6 out of 10, maybe.

    Tad - Greasebox

7.5/10 Great rhythm, and I like the vocals a lot. You could almost dance to it. This is great music to keep you company on the freeway, I think :-)

Well I'm pretty into everything, but this is one of those rare moments where I say: that sucked so hard my room has been vacuumed. Rly didnt like anything about it. this may be an openminded group, but I'm not THAT openminded.
    0/10

    Aborted - Dead Wreckoning

  • Just gives me a headache to be honest, nothing redeemable about the above song. 0/10.

    Terrorvision's "Celebrity Hit List"

  • Not bad at all. Sounds a bit like Foo Fighters. 8/10

    Cellador - Leaving All Behind

Seen Through Time is better imo, but they didn't have a good quality version on youtube.

EDIT: Goddamn you, stupid BBCode. Well, here's the link to the video.

  • Sounds like a worse version of Charon, for me... sort of. Vocals are pretty typical and 'meh'. But it's cool, I guess. 4/10.

    Superchunk - Hyper Enough

  • That was awesome! 8.5/10, I love those 90's alt rock tunes!

Every tr00 gamer out there should know this one. If not, just listen anyway and wallow in sadness because you don't know it.

  • It was decent 6/10

The Poor Souls of Pompeii - Shoot The Messenger

  • It's okay, could be a whole lot better. 4/10

    The Breeders - Cannonball

I don't even have to listen to the song to give it 8.5/10-- my favorite The Breeders song ;-)

    Mictlantecuhtli - Pillars of Silence

Oh man, this is pretty fucking great. The intro hooked me and through the whole song I felt it's pretty well done. I would def. look into them. 8/10 on first impression.

Awesome song, definite;y change my opinion on The Scropions. Also, Billy Corgan is awesome.

Otto Von Schirach - Earjuice Synthesis (Urinate On MCs)

  • This is.....odd. I don't know what to say. 5/10 for now.

    Firewind - Mercenary Man

  • It sounded good 7.5/10

7/10 Sounds pretty typical of indie, but since i kinda like indie, I think it's pretty good, even if it's not outstanding.

Of the Wand and the Moon - Lost in Emptiness (skip to about 1:30)

What was that. It sounds like their just saying the words, not even singing it. The music isn't all that amazing either. Should have been under two minutes, it was same throughout. Decent song.
    5.5/10

Not bad not bad. I like a little bit R&B and hiphop. this is a little bit too slow though. I prefer gansta rap like Youngbloodz. I'll give it a 6/10.

    Machine Head - Imperium
