Who is happy with OMI? :)

  • mine never seems to update, and I listen to different genres all the time

  • I'm certainly happy with mine, and feel like it demonstrates that one doesn't have to listen to death metal (or metal at all, necessarily) to have a high omi. :)

I am rather not happy, because it's still the same. the percentage remains the same for last 2 months. :D And I listen to different music :D

  • Finally my omi updated after 3 months and now I am happy with it. ;D

I am very happy, though I dunno why my OMI went from 136 to 158 within a day without me changing my listening habits.

I'm unhappy ever since OMI decided to calculate my overall charts and not my annual charts as it used to. My listening habits have changed a lot during the past four years and I don't really want punk rock to appear as one of my top tags while EBM and electronic have disappeared from the top. Any chance to do something about this?

  • Well, I am rather happy, but I still find myself far more open-minded than it tells me myself to be. But it's gettinf higher and higher, so maybe I just haven't reached my ideal yet ;)

  • Also gotta say that I'm more than jappy with my omi, though it could be higher still :P anyways, I feel that an omi of 164 represents quite well my listening habits, so whatever...

  • My OMI barely reflects of what I listen to... So I had to remove a lot of false tags like video game music. I should have a pretty high symphonic level too but no, and my electronica barely shows up either. I also got a retarded amount of jpop and jrock, although some of the artists actually fall under valid genres.

Sufice to say, OMI is a great feature if only some people could fucking learn to tag properly. Especially anime fans seem to be extremely mindless. Just because that song featured in your favorite anime doesn't mean the tag should be Bleach or whatever!

OMI is great. I liked it ever since I found Last.fm.

It is unbelievable which effort is put in it, by the people creating it,
maintaining it, improving it, finding the capacity to keep it up and running.

It will never truly reflect my listening habits, but that's okay.
One reason is the tagging, the other are my live visits of festivals,
and that I'm quiet much listening to CDs and disc records. :D

    OMI clearly enriches Last.fm.
