If any of you have new-found/loved bands or just bands you'd like to share with the group then post them here:

    Gifts from Enola (post-rock)
    Hartfield (Shoegaze)
Bohren & Der Club of Gore (Jazzy Ambient)
1000 Travels of Jawaharlal (Screamo in the vein of 80s hardcore)

    Enjoy ;D

If any one wants an album upload, just ask. Also /rs/ is your friend, so be sure to check there first.

Bohren and Der Club of Gore is really cool. I haven't hear Geisterfaust or Midnight Radio though.

Has anyone heard Last Exit? It's a pretty cool free jazz group.

I have the link to their one studio album if anyone wants it.

    Actarus - s/t
OMG I can't stop listening. On my third time in a row, just looping the album. Post-rock with some very nice rhythms. Apparently because the group had strong math-rock influences? Iono 'bout math-rock so much but I do know that this is amazing.

Oh! I've got another one. "The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady" by Charles Mingus is absolutely mindblowing.

Well... Just a few days ago I listened to Kashiwa Daisuke for the first time. It's fucking brilliant electronic post rock. Umm K'naan is a not very well known rapper, he's pretty sweet. Yeah.

Some of my favorite recent discoveries:
Death Ambient - Drunken Forest (improvised ambient)
The Red Masque - Feathers For Flesh (Gothy avant-prog)
Thee Maldoror Kollective - Pilot (Man With The Meat Machine) (post-black metal I guess , Ulver fans might like this)

Have Heart(Hardcore) - Get all of the their shit, but start with the earliest release What Counts cuz it's awesome.
After the Burial(Metalcore/Deathcore) - Forging a Future Self and their recently leaked Rareform.
Gauge Means Nothing(Screamo) - Sweet Japanese Screamo with supporting female vocals, doesn't get much better than this.
Cobra Kai(Screamo) - More sweet Screamo.

Forgot one. Trinacria. One of the better metal releases this year. It's a side project of the main dudes from Enslaved. Imagine Enslaved and Neurosis did an album together ...probably not as good as that sounds but pretty damn great.

  • Listen to Larkin Grimm.

This is awesome, thanks for the tip. In return I recommend Suffocate For Fuck Sake, they sound like a slightly more Post-Rock-y Cult Of Luna.
