What kind of music besides Nu Metal do you like?

I know that many Old Nu Metal fans have migrated to emocore/screamo, metalcore or 'real' metal, maybe that's why the metalcore and emocore groups are incredible bigger than our Nu Metal group. In my case I listen a lot of emocore/emo but I still listen to Nu Metal. what do you prefer emocore/screamo, metalcore or 'real' metal? or what other kind of music do you like?

I gradually moved towards more extreme, and progressive types of Metal... I'm in too pretty much all Metal from Power to Post-Black, blah, blah, blah...

Post-Rock is another favourite of mine...

And more recently I've been divulging into my edm quite a bit more. I think over next year or so this is where I'll really grow more with IDM and Trip-Hop, but then again my tastes are pretty unpredictable.

And I like a few artists from other genres such as pop (Lily Allen, Pipettes, Zutons, etc) and Hip-Hop (DangerDoom, Plan B, MF Doom, etc).

I was choking on a cornflake.
You said have some toast instead.

I think that emocore/screamo has also stolen a big part of the nu metal audience too, specially the part that use to enjoy a more emoish type of nu metal (like me :) ) like deftones, early spineshank, early 36 crazyfists, five point O, aqme, etc. BTW I still need a replacement for my other favorite style of nu metal , the industrial rock/nu metal :(

Well, i listen to most of the "guitar using" genres, a little "true" metal, a little punk, some pop punk, metalcore, rock, even some old rock (teh Beatles rock!), indie rock. And many others that i'm not even aware of that I listen xP.

  • I listen to:

    reggaeton

    ughh!, I don't like that :/,

In fact, I think that I hate that music more than how a 'real metalhead' would hate the nu metal and emo together if they were joined in one single genre.

Almost everyone here in colombia listen to that, I'm sick of it!, you can not be anywhere without having to listen to it!!

don't take it like something against you, It only against the music and the average type of person who listen to that here in colombia.

    /end of rant

  • punk, metalcore, most types of metal... but emo and emocore I could careless about

    Rapcore
    Hard-rock
    some metalcore
    some thrash metal
    alernative (probably all things alternative)
    pop-rock
    brit-pop

    I don't like emocore at all, but that's probably because i'm a "new" nu-metal listener...or whatever.
