Fighting against the onslaught of religious repression.

Since the dark ages many human beings have fallen victim to religious repression. Many religious orders, such as Christianity have murdered millions upon millions of innocent human beings.

Many countries and nations still uphold blasphemy laws censoring the opinions of millions.

Homosexuals are denied the right to marry in nations across the world, just because it doesn't fit into the religious ideal and agenda.

Homosexuals are still put to death in some countries, because of religious repression.

Religious repression takes away and prohibits freedoms, even the most basic and fundamental freedoms.

We need to stand up and speak out against it.

As many on here i disagree with defining Jesus Christ (if he's ever actually existed and probably he did,maybe just as a normal human being,maybe not..who really knows?) as a nazi. It's historically uncorrect and it's not correct in its meaning. But yeah,religion is/was pretty often a plague. I am for a free,personal and respectful spirituality. For "free" and "personal" i mean that is free by dogmas,especially when made by other humans and is based what i,as a indivdual,feel/believe and my way to communicate with it. And i think this is a good opposition to religion,which is about dogmas or,even worse,closed minds,hipocrisy,authority,intollerance and sometimes even mindless violence.

Christians are people who have that Relationship with Jesus Christ. 1) There is no excuse for religious repression, it has to be fought. 2) Hitler was definitely not a christian since he turned against it's core values. 3) Taking up the cross is an invitation, you are not forced to. 4) I agree with what you said about religious people. 5) There is no passing the blame to Islam, it is simply where most religious repression comes from today.

The wrong thing here is not being against religious repression but saying some bullshit like "Jesus is a Nazi", while the Nazi-ideology was anti-christian to the bone. And if you want to use an example for religious repression of today (especially if you refer to homosexuals) you should really use Islamism and not Christianity. Also, every statement you made is exactly true for non-religious repression as well.
