    Spock's Beard - Octane

    I got this one today:



    To say the least, it's a GREAT album. Superb rock, some cool proggy elements ... at least everybody should check it out.

    Though, keep in mind, I'm a huge spockhead. :D

    A big step up from Feel Euphoria

    Understanding that a mediocre Spock's album is still better than 99% of what passes for music, I agree that Octane rocks nicely, and the special edition has some fine music that makes it worth the extra $. Hoping like heck they'll do a more extended tour of the US sometime in '05.

    I was dissapointed by Octane. I probably didn't listen to it enough to really say that i dislike the album completely, but the two or three times i have given it a chance, i've had to turn it off and put on something better.

    Gentle Giant is my bag for now. I love 'em.

    I also have to say I was dissapointed, although it was as good as I thought it would be. I hoped for something more.

    If you plan to buy this album, try to get the limited edition. It contains a bonus CD with a couple of extra tracks that are very, very nice! They are definitely worth the extra bucks.
