    The Doves - Some Cities

Nothing new, but it's still great. Still prefer their first release overall.

Next week will be the Kaiser Chiefs.

  • I just picked up the Bloc Party album, as mentioned above, as well as the new records by Soundtrack of Their Lives and Beck. I also recently purchased the new album by Dead Meadow. I'm enjoying all of these.
I'm also very interested in checking out the Decemberists, who I just heard for the first time, and really enjoyed. Next time I get to the local indie store, I'll be picking that up.

I recently picked up the album by the one-man band (with a lot of help) Husky Rescue. Highly recommended if you also enjoy Massive Attack, Boards of Canada, Air, M83, UNKLE, Portishead, etc.

    WOW!

there are others out there that actually buy their music?!?

i thought i was the only lone purchaser of music....besides those silly little fans of mariah carey. [no offense]

i haven't bought bloc party's new album but there was a party on my bloc last nite.

i just got mazzy star's debut cd. i've had their other 2 for awhile now. it puts me to sleep...not sure if that's good or bad yet.

and i had to get alice in chain's 1st album on cd. i was tired of listening to it on an actual cassete tape.

You Could Have It So Much Better by Franz Ferdinand, and it is good.

I currently have my eyes set on the new Depeche Mode album and maybe one of The Beatles' masterpieces...

    Radiohead - Kid A
    Within Temptation - Mother Earth
    Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie
    Tiamat - Wildhoney
    Loreena McKennitt - The Visit
Nirvana - From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah

  • I just ordered Odyssey from Fischerspooner on Amazon...
    Can't wait to get it!

Brendan Benson - Alternative to Love
Broken Social Scene - Broken Social Scene
De Stijl - The White Stripes

and I bought a lot of old blues and Eric Clapton albums too, but thats old stuff.

Oh yeah, I also ordered the debut album from Black Market Radio, which I will get autographed.

Albums I'm going to pick up next...

Yeah you're right. I didn't burned it on my computer yet, but I had a few listens and it's not that impressing. Is This It was their best album my a mile.
