Napster Beta breaks LastFM extension

 

  • Napster Beta breaks LastFM extension

    I've been using the Napster beta redesign recently and the latest non-beta release of LastFM extension has lost functionality with the redesign. I've since switched back to the old Napster for the time being until the redesign is permanent or the extension regains the functionality.

    Is there an estimated time for the LastFM catching up with the new beta?

  • I didn't know that there was a new version available. I'll take a look at it over the weekend and get back to you.

  • I think I have the LastFM extension mostly working for the beta version of Napster. The player is pretty unstable for me. It fails to advance through the song queue most of the time, so it's hard to be sure that the extension is submitting tracks properly. I'll keep working on it and get a patch sent to Chris in the next week or two.

  • I'm trying out LastFM Firefox Extension with the Napster beta, and it isn't working. It doesn't recognize that a song is playing. Has there been an update to the Napster beta to break the functionality that you worked on back in January? Or did that change ever make into the extention? I'm running version 1.0.2.1. Thanks!

    BTW - I like the LastFM extension in general. Very cool.

  • I've canceled my Napster subscription and switched to Rhapsody, so I won't be able to continue maintaining the Napster portion of this extension. If somebody else wants to take it over, I'd be happy to go over the Napster specific stuff with them.

    Napster beta working

    It took a day or two to work but one day it just started working with the new Napster, very random. I am using version 1.0.2.1 of the LastFM firefox extension with Firefox 3.6.3. Thanks so much for this amazing extension!

    does the beta version of this extension work better with the napster beta than 1.0.2.1 does?

    Napster broken yet again :(

    They changed their player to a popup and now the extension no longer scrobbles. Any help?
