Some Miscellaneous Tips and Information about the extension.

The extension supports Slacker.com, Pandora.com and Napster Web Radio.
It requires Firefox 2.0+, preferably 3.0+ for all of the features to function.

The original forum thread is found here.

Any files (cache, logs, etc) created by the extension will be found in the directory displayed under "LastFM File Info" in the Tools -> LastFM -> Log file info dialog.

    1. Status Bar -
Clicking the red "as" icon in the status bar toggles displaying the current song title as well as displaying the extra icons.

The Current Song Title display is re-sizable, there's a thicker separator between the title text and the heart icon, mouse over that and you'll get the double-arrow mouse pointer, then just drag it left or right to change the display size.

If the current song title is too large for the title display, it will automatically scroll side to side.

The Heart icon is a toggle, when it is red, it will mark the current song as Loved, if it's gray it will not mark the song as Loved.
Note that the current API does not allow me to "Unlove" a song, so you will need to use the little drop-down menus on your profile page in order to Unlove songs. So toggling it back to gray will just prevent the extension from marking the song as Loved, it will not Unlove it on the site.

Clicking the tag icon will bring up a dialog allowing you to add tags to the current song. It will automatically fetch your personal Top 12 tags, as well as the Top 12 tags for the current song. Clicking on any of these Top 12 tags will automatically add that tag to the comma-separated list of tags in the text box at the top of the tagging dialog. Tags will not be saved until you click the "OK" button, clicking "Cancel" will clear the tag text box and will not tag the current song.
Note that the tagging dialog uses some new features of Firefox 3.0. The tagging feature will be disabled and the icon will be hidden if you are using Firefox 2.0.*. But as soon as you upgrade to Firefox 3.0+ the tag icon will appear.

    1. Display Options -
In the Options dialog you'll find a "Display Options" tab.
Here you'll find options such as:
    - Show the status bar icon?:
Uncheck this and all of the status bar icons, along with the Song Title display will be hidden.
    - Show the Song Title in the status bar?:
Unchecking this will hide only the Song title display from the status bar.
    - Show the Tag button in the status bar?:
Unchecking this will hide the Tag icon from the status bar.
    - Show the Love button in the status bar?:
Unchecking this will hide the Heart icon from the status bar.

    1. General Options -
In the Options Dialog you'll fine a "General Options" tab.
    - Don't send tracks to Last.fm, just cache them for now?:
This will cause all tracks to be immediately saved to the cache.
At this time, I have not created a way to view and edit the cache in the extension, but if you would like to (don't blame me if you mess with your scrobbles...) you can use the SQLite Manager Firefox extension. The name of your cache file is "lastfm-data.cache.sqlite", you'll find it using the instruction at the top of this post, the directory displayed in the Log File Info dialog.

    1. Miscellaneous -
The extension only marks a song for submission after the set time in the Submission Settings. The song will not be submitted until it ends, or is stopped/skipped. The time setting is basically to give you a bit of time to choose whether you like the song and want it submitted, or if you want to just skip it, as well as meeting the Protocol requirement that at least 30 seconds of a song is played before it's submitted.

The extension does however send a "Now Playing" message to the server as soon as a song starts playing, those will show in your profile as a yellow background and the submission time will be "listening now", rather than "just listened" or "5 minutes ago".
